Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Learning Phone

The Learning Phone is part of the Laugh & Learn range from Fisher Price and is basically a large colourful handset phone that includes music, numbers and letter activites that your child can play with.

It contains twelve different songs along with a light show and different sound effects. There is actually quite a lot to do on this phone so for a toy around $15 it's a very good buy. Some of the sounds and words it says are very cute, for example it will say things like 'I love you' and 'bye bye' as well as count to nine or say the ABC.

Like all good toys that teaches while you play it's also very fun and doesn't feel like it's just an educational toy. Each time you press a button or interact with the phone, something will flash up on the screen face.

The music is a good level (not too loud) and pleasant enough for adults to listen to while their kids are playing with it. And children like that they can hold it in their hands while they dance to the music. Some customers have said that when used like a real phone (putting the handset up to your ear) that it can be a bit loud, but to be honest my children don't seem to play with it that way and prefer to watch the screen as they press the buttons. The only time they've put it to their ear to 'talk' they haven't been pressing any buttons so its silent when they do that.

It's a good fit for the other toys from the Laugh & Learn range, Fisher Price has definately thought ahead how the toys will be used together. For example there is a place inside the Learning Home that fits the Learning Phone just perfectly.
