We review the Loving Family Dollhouse from Fisher Price

I talked a bit about the Fisher Price Doll House in my last post but wanted to add a few more points since I think dollhouses are a great gift for young girls.  They help to create a lovely imaginative world where they can make up their own stories with their toys therefore helping to improve their creativity.  Plus of course they are lots of fun.

I’m sure that you remember the joy of playing with your doll house when you were young and would like your daughter to experience the same pleasure and enjoyment.

A Great Dollhouse

The Loving Family Dollhouse features a family of four including mom, dad and two babies – a boy and a girl – (considered the perfect nuclear family).  It doesn’t come with much furniture (just a small dining room set) so you will need to either have your own dolls furniture or buy some more to fit the house (or even make some if you are handy enough).

It’s made of sturdy plastic (rather than wood which some more expensive dollhouses are made of) making it much more durable and therefore great for children as young as three years old.  Because it is tall and not wide, it doesn’t take up much room when it is folded up (it also is great for storing away all the doll playthings as well).

Because of this it makes it a much more affordable option for families as well.

Easy to Assemble

You can put the house together in about ten minutes or so, as it comes with the main large house and all you need to do is put in the staircase and the decorative finishes both in and outside the house (they just snap into place very easily).

And since it is high quality plastic, it doesn’t need repainting or anything – you just wipe a damp cloth over it anything it gets dusty or dirty.

I think the Loving Family Dollhouse is a great toy for both boys and girls – but of course it is mainly geared towards girls.  It helps to improve creativity and social skills as they create imaginative worlds for their doll family.  I remember I loved playing with dollhouses when I was a young girl and I have no doubt that this will become a much loved treasure for your child as well.
